Good Morning Bestie
Hey Bestie,
It it no surprise that I am a sucker for a good podcast and there was one that stood out to me this week that I want to share with you. Jay Shetty was interviewing Rob Dial and they were discussing how to actually achieve your goals in 2026. Lets be honest, if you are someone that is considered a high performer, I am confident you have been consuming so much personal development about setting intentions and goals in the year. It can be overwhelming. There is an abundance of information and you are probably thinking you need to do EVERYTHING at once. Bestie, it is only January. Take a second to breath. Promise you there is no reason to stress, you are taking the right steps to make 2026 great. You are NOT behind. Repeat after me, YOU ARE NOT BEHIND. Now back to the podcast episode, the topic about consistency came up. What do you think it means to be consistent bestie?
If we are getting technical, the definition is: Acting, performing, or occurring in the same way over time, showing a steady and predictable pattern without contradiction, making your actions reliable, dependable, and in agreement with your words or stated principles. The one thing I took away from the conversation is that consistency does not mean you have to do the exact same thing. Take going to the gym for example, if you were to go the gym for 5 days out the week for all of 2026...a majority of people would consider that to be consistent. But what they challenged me is maybe one week you go 5 times, the next week is 3, then back to 5, or maybe you only one time. That is still being consistent because it is doing the act the same way over time.
We all know there are times that life will be life-ing, and I do not want you to fall into the headspace that if you "fall off" you are no longer consistent. You are still able to see the progress, event during the time. Sometimes I have to remind myself that when I am learning something new, it is not going to look the same all the time. You have to give yourself some room to do a trail and error. Enjoy the process, practice, repeat and try again. Consistent is when you show up, even when you missed a day. It is that voice of comfort that tells you that you messed up and you should just give up all together. First of all RUDE. Second, I refuse to let the negative slow down my progress.
To all my besties that procrastinate, overthink, or fall off...I get it. Every decision you make is a ticket to the person you are wanting to be. What are you going to start this week?

It has a streak feature but we are not focused on that. We are going to build our consistency. At the end of the 90 days, you will be shocked how much you improved!

FOUNDER OF ALLI-KAT'S NAILS
Giving flowers to the besties who’s embodying the work — whether they’re building new routines, launching a passion project, or just showing up for themselves in a real way. This is where we celebrate progress and realignment.

Hi, I’m Allison of Alli-Kat’s Nails.
I’m a nail technician who specializes in keeping natural nails healthy without compromising length, creativity, or personal style. Nail care is my foundation, but self-care is the thread that runs through everything I do. That’s also where Alli-Kat’s Apothecary comes in, which is my line of handmade products (lotions, scrubs, body oils, massage candles) created with intention, rest, and ritual in mind.
When it comes to growth, there are three characteristics I see as non-negotiable: self-evaluation, accountability, and self-trust.
Self-evaluation goes far beyond just “checking yourself.” It’s noticing how other people or businesses make you feel and using that information intentionally. Maybe you saw a post that didn’t feel salesy, just honest and informative and you trusted it enough to buy. That feeling matters. When you pay attention to what resonates (and what doesn’t), you start attracting people who align with your values. On the flip side, noticing what turns you off is just as important. It helps you define how you don’t want to operate. Self-evaluation also means reflecting on your own reactions. Asking yourself why you liked something, why you didn’t, and whether you handled situations in a way that truly aligned with who you want to be.
Accountability speaks for itself, but it matters in both directions. In difficult moments, it’s owning mistakes, apologizing when necessary, and making things right. In positive moments, it’s following through, doing what you said you’d do and showing up consistently. Both forms build integrity.
Self-trust ties everything together. For me, that looks like listening to my intuition and actually honoring it. If something feels right (or wrong), I sit with that feeling and try to understand where it’s coming from. I’m also very realistic, so I love a good pros-and-cons list. It helps ground that intuitive feeling and turns it into something actionable. Trusting yourself doesn’t mean acting impulsively; it means believing you can make thoughtful decisions and course-correct when needed.
What’s one micro habit that’s changed the way you show up for yourself? Why is it important?

This is the time when besties start reflecting about their goals and what is next for them. Most importantly where do they even start.
If you have been feeling:
Stuck and uninspired at the start of a new season (especially Q1 or after a “life reset”)
Overwhelmed with ideas but unclear on direction
Constantly “planning to plan” but never taking aligned action
Tired of starting over with zero structure or follow-through
Frustrated that they’re not being consistent with what they say they want.
