Momentum Reset Newsletter: 10th Edition

Good Morning Bestie

Hey Bestie,

How is it already February? Time is flying and I feel like we are just getting started with the year. With the podcast being on its break, it made me go down the rabbit hole that I should be doing something else with my time. But then I caught myself thinking, being busy does not always mean that I have to be occupied at all time.

The word "intentional" gets thrown around often, but in this season intentional is the focus for me. I can not stress this enough my over achiever besties, you are doing more than enough. NGL I was struggling on what I wanted to yap about in this edition. Reflecting on my January, I would describe it as a month that I took a lot of steps towards sticking to my routine and embracing this new routine I want for myself. Made some personal investments and spent some much needed time with myself.

Have you ever felt that way? You know you are taking the right steps but feels like there needs to be more. You should be doing more? The ideas are bursting in your mind. I found that taking action decreases the mental clutter so much. So for Feb that is what I am going to continue to do, take inspired action and stop negotiating with myself on the things I know I need to get done. I am so excited for this newsletter feature. Reading her responses was the exact reason I decided to feature you. Its the besties in the messy middle building a freaking empire that I know you will appreciate reading because I do not know about you but I love reading how people are handling the building stage. Not just hearing the story when they are at the top.

Giving flowers to the besties who’s embodying the work — whether they’re building new routines, launching a passion project, or just showing up for themselves in a real way. This is where we celebrate progress and realignment.

I live by checklists. I always have one open on my screen. Client work can get overwhelming and make me feel a little all over the place, so anytime I get a request or remember something I need to do, I immediately add it to my list. It lets me offload the mental clutter, stop carrying everything in my head, and stay present instead of constantly stressing over anything I might be forgetting.

I’ve had to let go of people-pleasing. For a long time, I would agree to things (or even suggest things) that didn’t actually benefit me, simply because I didn’t want to disappoint anyone or be seen as difficult. I thought keeping the peace mattered more, without realizing the toll it was taking on me. Navigating my own business has been a rude awakening in the best way.

Prioritizing my well-being has changed everything. I started using “no” as a complete sentence, stopped feeling guilty about my boundaries, and let go of relationships and clients that weren’t healthy or aligned.

Now, I’m serious about protecting my energy, my time, and my well-being. It isn’t selfish, it’s necessary. And honestly, most people don’t even have an issue with boundaries when they’re set clearly and upfront. They usually respect them. Which means I spent years over-accommodating for no reason!

Looking out for myself has allowed me to show up stronger, clearer, and more grounded in every area of my life and business.

P.S. If someone reading this needs permission to let go of their lowest-paying client, their most draining client, or the one that constantly crosses boundaries, this is it! As someone who’s recently gone through this, I can honestly say life feels better than it has in years, and my business is actually doing better too.
